Ashworth Preschool and Kindergarten is located near Davenport and Christie Streets in Toronto. We offer a bilingual, enriched, in-home preschool program for 18 month to 3 year-old children, and a Kindergarten program for 3 to 5 year old children. The children play and learn in a small groups of six with a certified, experienced teacher. The focus of the program is on developing children’s social, cognitive, artistic and linguistic skills through monthly themed play, activities, learning centers, and music circles. The children are introduced to the French language. Healthy snacks and lunch are provided. When the weather permits, we play outdoors in a fenced-in backyard. The regular program runs from September until June. Parents choose between a two morning (Tuesdays and Thursdays), three morning (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays), or five morning session. Morning sessions run from 9-12. Afternoon sessions run from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. Weekly themed summer camp sessions are offered in July and August. The children explore themes such as outer space and the ocean though hands-on art and science projects. We often play at Hillcrest Park in the afternoons. |
